Writer's Digest Complete Novel Writing Handbook, 2nd Edition  (make sure you get the 2nd edition; that's the one I reviewed)
Now Write! Fiction (full of helpful tips and exercises.)
2013 Writer's Market (find agents, publishers, and more!)
Writing Young Adult Fiction for Dummies
 On Writing (by Stephen King) (by the King of Horror. This is a great resource, and, as I recall, has King's life story in the first half of the book.)

Of course, any book- be it a novel, dictionary, play, or even pulp fiction- can be a good reference book. You need to read to be able to write!
