What you'll need

Absolute necessities:
This is a list of what a writer will need in order to, well, write!

1. A journal. Use whatever works for you; some people prefer spiral bound notebooks, others use high- quality leather-  bound journals, and even others use simple hardbound sketchbooks. If you want links to cheap ones, feel free to email Jen or myself. We recommend Paperblanks (the company who gave us a donation) if you want high quality, beautiful notebooks! www.paperblanks.com

2. A nice pen. There are some nice pens out there; some are thin- lined, some are bold, some are fancy, some are plain. Make sure that your pen won't ruin your journal's paper by bleeding through; the best way to avoid this is by buying a thick- paged journal.

3. A (preferably intense) support group! That's what we're here for! We will encourage each other and review work/give feedback as frequently as we can.

4. A computer, of course! Use a program (like Microsoft Word) that keeps track of your word count. This will be especially important for those of us who will be doing NaNoWriMo Whenever.

5. A thesaurus

6. A good dictionary

7. Internet access (to look up facts. This is especially important when writing historical fiction)
